When you buy a house in Florida in a new development, you will get a nice footprint, probably a great back yard, but also you will get what the builder chooses for all the houses in your neighborhood.

But don’t think you have to stick with that because it seems too expensive to upgrade it by yourself. With the right professionals you can get what you dream at a reasonable price.

This project is an example of a kitchen where builders buy the less expensive materials and cabinets.

This couple called us to renovate their kitchen, so we did.

While the layout remained the same, by enlarging the island,

and adding much needed pantry space,

this kitchen now looks and functions a lot better.

The espresso color cabinets and white quartz counter-tops place this kitchen in a new category.

Simple additions like bar stools at the island give more options for gatherings in as well as more usable counter space.

The dark high-quality laminate wood floors give support to the darker wood color in the cabinets and provide a great contrast to the stainless appliances, white quartz counter-tops, and lighter colors of the walls.

When you buy a home, custom built, brand new, or nicely worn in, don't think you can't make your own adjustments after purchase.

Buy the house looking at the layout of the rooms (although we can help change this as well!) and the other features of the home. Remember, you can always change the floor, cabinets, counter-tops, and appliances after you have your dream home to make it truly yours.
